Reiki

Reiki is a Japanese healing modality which treats emotional and physical conditions. Rei means “universal” and ki means life force, hence Reiki is universal life force. This universal life force energy is the air that we breathe, that which gives momentum to all things and beings. As a dedicated Reiki master I am simply a channel for this beautiful and gentle yet powerful energy.

Unhappiness and dissatisfaction can slow down your internal energy centres (chakras) and cause physical illness. When most people feel sad or down they have been conditioned to look outward for contentment. They believe “the new outfit/this house/that job/the flash car” will bring them happiness - and they will - but only short term, as true happiness comes from within.

Reiki clears, purifies and balances your body’s energy centres bringing you closer to your internal nature. Familiarization with deep peace and happiness will lead to you becoming more contended and fulfilled. You will be able to release old patterns or imprints of past trauma allowing you to become a more present, whole human being, able to live more in the “now”. I live by the five Reiki Principles:

• Just for today, do not anger
• Just for today, do not worry
• Just for today, work hard spiritually
• Just for today, respect your parents, teachers and elders
• Just for today, be grateful

Clients can feel or experience anything from a gentle warm sensation, through seeing colours to getting clarity on a project or feeling more connected with a deceased loved one (who will sometimes show themselves to me during a treatment).

Clients who wish to address a particular health or emotional concern are asked to please let me know prior to commencement of treatment as Reiki works best with intent. Being a gentle healing modality 2-4 treatments may be conducive to treat a specific issue. You remain fully clothed during your Reiki session. Whilst it is “hands on” healing no private body parts are touched and it is equally effective with hand placement just above the body.

There are absolutely no contraindications to Reiki healings as it only works for the greatest good of all living beings and is hence suitable for ANYONE. For those whishing to themselves be attuned to Reiki I hold workshops for levels I, II & III.
